NYX GLITTER TRIP AT COACHELLA MUSIC FESTIVAL 2019

CONCEPT
As the official sponsor of Coachella 2019, NYX desired to create a unique and memorable 40’x40’ space to highlight their Glitter Goals product line, as well as boost brand loyalty and awareness as the cosmetic brand of the festival season. With this in mind, we created the NYX Glitter Trip, where guests were able to embrace their inner child and wild side, while enjoying everything filled with glitter. Guests had the opportunity to go down a larger than life lip slide into a pit of glitter, take a glamorous shot through falling, sparkling confetti, and play around with the brand’s product to enhance their festival looks. This fun, vibrant, eye-catching oasis contained “instagrammable” moments that built brand loyalty and showed makeup users that glitter truly is goals.
DESIGN PROCESS & RENDERINGS
The NYX Glitter Trip activation was broken into 5 featured elements that highlighted the brand’s product and promote brand loyalty. Each experience was enjoyable and memorable.
NYX LIP SLIDE
This 3D lip slide was the main focal point and main activity within the NYX tent. The lipstick shade is inspired by NYX Glitter Goals Liquid Lipstick in Cherry Quartz. This lipstick goes on a solid color and the glitter pops when you smack your lips.
GLITTER FOUNTAIN
Sparkle at your own risk! This photo op sprayed confetti in the air at regular intervals for a fun activity and cool photo, both when the confetti is spraying up and raining down similar to showering each guest with glitter.
STICKER WALL
At the interactive sticker wall guests were encouraged to stick a provided sticker into the space. All areas in black within the sticker wall space were fair game! Guests stuck stickers on the floor, wall or bench to create an ongoing piece of art!
MAKEUP STATIONS
Two makeup stations were located inside the activation. Guests were encouraged to add a little glitter to their already amazing look then take a photo to share with their friends! Because it isn’t everyday that you can have a professional makeup artist help you look your best!
ROLLING HILL LOUNGE
Two lounge areas were located inside the activation. The rolling hills lounge offered great back rests and charging outlets for guests needing a quick break and a little bit of refuel for their phones! The second lounge area was an ideal place for significant others to rest as their better half got a quick touch up.
SIGNAGE & GRAPHICS
NYX branded signage and graphics were featured throughout the space to enhance guests’ Glitter Trip experience, ensure their safety, and explain different features throughout the space.
THE END RESULT
Festival goers and influencers were entranced by the glittery experience, and associated NYX Professional Makeup as the #1 brand to help them achieve affordable, yet artistic looks with professional products. The activation exceeded the hype and was even featured by Bizbash.
